Ok it's time for me to bitch.........LISTEN UP POKER PLAYERS.
Our Michigan Casinos are getting greedy and its time for us to let them know.
1. First thing they are doing is giving us Blind Structures that SUCK, they give you more chips to fool you (and many of you fall for it) then speed the play by doubling the blinds so you have no play at the end. (Avg. chip stack at the final table being only 5 times the BB) Know I understand weekly tournaments with smaller buy ins will go fast. But $200 and up tournaments need play time (Turtle Creeks recent Michigan Poker Open was not real poker after 4 hours) I hope they change the structure before the Phil Laak $500 tournament. If not maybe it should be renamed THE TURKEY SHOOT
2. Do you like Juice.....I hope so cause your paying a lot of it. NOW I UNDERSTAND LOWER BUY-INS WILL HAVE A HIGHER %. But $100+25 is to much ($15-20 is enough). $200 and up 10% max. We are also getting raped on the rebuys.............NO JUICE ON REBUYS PLEASE. Also Satellite tournaments seem to be a place they love to turn up the juice.
3. Dealer add-on abuse. Now I'm all for tipping the dealers ***I liked it better in the old days with no dealer add on**** Then you tip when you win. They have gone with the dealer add on because of the players that stiff the dealer......... so for that reason I am glad they do it. Everything I have read states 3-6% of your winning is a fair tip. So why not set dealer add on at 5% buy in(do not include casino juice) $100=$5 $200=$10 $400=$20 I believe using 5% would be fair and ample.
So next time you see a $100 + $35 of juice....REMEMBER that's a 35% tax
